Kaleidoscope Theatre Festival 2024
Festival Technician, Operator and Stage Manager
From December 2023 to February 2024 my focus was on Kaleidoscope Theatre Festival at the Golden Goose Theatre. For this Festival I was the technical lead, consultant and stage manager for every production. I had meetings with each of the 14 shows about what their technical requirements were, limitations of the space, what props they would be using and other logistics such as latecomers policies.
During the week of February 5th-10th, I was liaising with the theatre to organise tech times, keeping to a very tight schedule to get through all shows in 3 days. I programmed and operated the shows, often working 12 hour days to get everything done. The shows all went successfully and I received praise from both the different shows and the venue itself on my handling of everything, organisation, ability to keep calm (and calm others) under pressure and finding quick technical solutions.
