About Me.
Hi! I'm Beckett, a theatre technician, stage manager, dramaturg and lighting/sound designer living in London. I have a background in video and audio editing; having edited videos for groups such as the Rugby Super League, the Royal Psychiatry Institute, Media City Manchester, and audio for podcasts and theatrical shows. I also worked as a producer at a leading media company in Manchester, where I facilitated the filming of the Lancashire Cricket Club, touring with them over the season and doing a lot of rigging!
In the last few years, I have focused on my love for theatre-specific work; working at the Pleasance Theatre for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2022, where I took the Orbital Sound Training course. Whilst studying an MA in acting at Mountview, I furthered my love for technical theatre and got more into the stage management side of production.
Since Mountview, I have been fortunate enough to continue my relationship with the Pleasance, stepping up to the role of Duty Technician. I have also worked freelance on theatre projects such as The Simple Life (and Death), Attempts on a Birch Tree, and Midgitte Bardot: Shooting from Below. I have also been able to work on many shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, in venues such as Summerhall Arts, Pleasance, and Underbelly.

I am proficient in Q-Lab, ETC Ion, ETC ColorSource, FLX S24, Audacity and Adobe Premiere Pro. I love to give myself a challenge and push what can be done when it comes to my technical work, and being an actor myself gives me a clear insight into what I can simultaneously do to make a performer's life easier both within rehearsals and during tech.
