Dani's Inferno

Having designed and operated for the show at Kaleidscope Festival 2024, I was thrilled when Charlotte asked if I would do the same for them as part of their run at the first ever SE Fest, hosted by Brockley Jack Theatre and The Bridge House Theatre. Due to the show being a musical, I worked with mixing Charlotte's gorgeous vocals to her backing tracks, and adding in enough atmospheric background noise to scenes to bring the show to life. I also designed the lighting to work well in both theatre spaces, creating a dynamic performance.

'I would like to highlight how well the lighting and sound technician worked in tandem with the plot and scenes. The soundtrack being a mix of background noise for the party scenes helped to set the scene, the instrumental accompanying Eyres' singing blended well rather than drowning her out, the balance of not overusing too much sound helped the jokes land as well as allowing the silence to carry the weight of the situation and give the audience breathing room after each song. The lighting worked well to give the audience a sense of dread constantly creeping in throughout the story.'
